My latest two blankets and a relaxed cat!

Here are my two latest blankets. The one above is a snuggle blanket for my granddaughter Emily who is seven.
This is Ruby's snuggle blanket.Ruby is Emily's younger sister and she is five. Both blankets measure about 4ft(120cm) by 3ft6inches(110cm).They are big enough to snuggle under but not too heavy.I used Stylecraft Special Dk which is lovely and soft but not expensive.I had hoped to photograph them out side but being on crutches that was a task too far!I am sure they will love them.

It is one week since my op and I am making progress I think. My wound which is 10" long is healing nicely and I am being a good girl and doing my exercises 4 times a day.I actually ventured out this morning. We needed to book tickets at the theatre so I went along and hobbled into the bistro for a coffee.A nice change of scene.C is being very good looking after me.He gave a talk to our Art Appreciation Group yesterday on the artist Adolphe Valette. He taught L.S.Lowry.This afternoon he is at his Philosophy Group discussing Nietsche!!I'm reading a women's magazine!
How relaxed is our cat?If you can find two cushions to sleep on-great and if its in the sun even better.

Eventually I have had my knee op.

I went in on Wednesday morning at 7.15am waited seven hours before being taken down to theatre.By that time I was cold and dehydrated and the anaesthetist had great difficulty finding a vein so I am covered in bruises.I think the op went well. They replaced the bearing and i am now home,on crutches and in pain BUT it is done and hopefully I am on the up.I shall enjoy a glass of wine this evening and sleeping in my own bed!!!

Snowdrops at Ness Gardens

It was lovely and sunny this morning so we decided a little stroll in Ness gardens would be good.It does my soul good going there. These snowdrops were a surprise given the awful weather we had last week.Ness gardens are on the Wirral peninsula and they certainly get better weather than us in North Wales, much milder.
There were even primroses out.We sat on a bench in the sun for about twenty minutes. It was so peaceful. All you could hear was the trickle of water and the birds.Just to feel the sun on your face does you good.I just need my op on the 13th Feb to go ahead and then I can start looking forward.I feel life has been on hold since this sorry tale about my knee started way back in September.Watch this space. What could possibly go wrong this time.
